Premature ejaculation is a sexual disorder who could affect 20 to 30% of male in the world. Causes and treatment can be varied, which is why consulting a sexologist can help to adopt the best approach to treat the disease. In a majority of cases, the doctor in addition to the consultations recommend exercises to the patients.
These exercises, which are necessary for the healing process, have lead a sexologist to set up a digital tool that can help patients. Troa agency that I was part of during the project was in charge of the brand identity and product design.
CHALLENGE
Treating premature ejaculation is a long process that requires patient's full involvement. That's why we had to detect and neutralize by our strategic choices all the potential obstacles to the app use.
IDENTITY
A brand that you don't notice ... This was the challenge imposed during Extratime visual identity creation process. With its circular shapes and reassuring profile, the logo promotes an approach based on support and empathy.
The letter E extract from the name Extra Time is used as a graphic element and the underline suggest a smile. All elements combine creates a minimalist and unequivocal pictogram of the app content.
WIREFRAME
Exercises being the main content of the application, it seemed obvious to us to make the screen grouping them the central point of the application.
Each time you open it, you will faced to a screen allowing you to assess your progress and have access to all of the app content. The progression between the stages is done continuously, the user going from one exercise to the other through the home screen.
SECURITY
In order to reassure the user that their privacy will be respected each time the app is opened, a password is required.
PERSONNAL TEST
In order to adapt the progression to each user, questions are asked at the end of each stages to determine the next step of their program.
PUT IN CONDITION
To put the user in the right condition before starting a stage, he can pratice breathing exercises. Through video, the user can synchronized their breathing on animated forms and adopt a better respiratory rate.
